Our 2-hour Introduction to Surfing lessons are designed to give you a taste of the thrill of surfing!
Joining a group of like-minded people looking for something new to try is always loads of fun. We take you down to the beach where we walk through some basic steps so you can stand up on your board safely and easily. After going over essential safety guidelines, we hit the waves ASAP.
Whether you’re visiting the Gold Coast for just one day and want an amazing picture of yourself catching a wave, checking this experience off your bucket list, or simply discovering why it’s one of Australia’s favorite activities, we encourage you to give it a shot. Our surf instructors ensure everything is enjoyable, secure, and accessible for surfers of all ages and skill levels—we genuinely hope you fall in love with surfing too! Equipment is included, and transportation options are available at a nominal cost.
To guarantee everyone’s safety, adult classes operate separately from kids’ sessions. To maximize learning outcomes, our adult group surfing lessons (ages 13+) follow a strict teacher-to-student ratio of no more than 5 students per instructor (a stricter standard than what major surfing organizations recommend). Children’s group surfing lessons (ages 6–12) maintain a max ratio of 4 students per instructor.
