Every Italian chief town has a huge history behind and Cagliari is no exception. Founded as a colony with the name of “Castrum Callaretani” by the Pisan settlers, Cagliari’s historic center has a very long fascinating history in all places and monuments. As a fellow citizen and archaeologist, I will be proud and glad to tell you about it.
We will visit the historical center of the town and, inside it, see the two iconic medieval towers of San Pancrazio and the Elephant. We will visit the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria and Cecilia and go up to the top of its bell tower and enjoy one of the most wonderful panoramic views of Cagliari; the tour will end after we reach the monumental Bastion of Saint Remy.
After the tour, as happened with every customer of mine that visits Castello, you will be back home with the lovable memory of one of the most beautiful historical town centers in the whole Italy and Europe.
