Guided Yellowstone Day Hike: We else can you hike to a geyser?
Relax and enjoy this unique landscape on foot. We'll bring the knowledge, the fun and the bear spray.
Hiking in America's original national park without the hassles or uncertainties and with a chance to learn a thing or two along the way.
Our day starts at dawn with a chance to see the rising sun light up the Teton Mountains as we drive through Grand Teton National Park towards Yellowstone. While we will take advantage of any wildlife sightings, the trip really starts once we enter Yellowstone. (Sorry, no guided hiking is permitted in Grand Teton National Park.)
We will select a hike based on your preferences and our assessment of what you can do. Remember, much of Yellowstone sits above 7,000 ft, and the altitude can slow down most visitors. There are also times in the spring when a preferred hike might be unavailable due to lingering snow or a closure to give wildlife a chance to recover from winter without human disturbance.
Our guides are trained to deal with: altitude sickness, roaming bison, using bear spray, and ensuring you don't go wandering off trail, break through a thin crust, and boil yourself in a thermal feature. (It's happened before to a few unfortunate souls.)
Depending on the length of the hike, we might be able to do some sightseeing and wildlife viewing on the way back to Jackson.
Tour operates in Summer: May 1- October 31.
