Your hike starts in Chinchero, where you’ll encounter the friendly llamas and alpacas who will keep you company throughout your adventure. For the first hour of trekking, head towards the viewpoints called “Qorihuayrachina”, here you can appreciate stunning panoramas over mountain ranges and valley landscapes. Take a brief pause after this trek to capture some photographs while enjoying a small refreshment; afterwards carry on until reaching "Machuqolqa" archaeological site - there are impressive samples of sophisticated pre-Inca Andine technology used for preserving foods like maize and potatoes through time. In order to guarantee enough provisions when resources were scarce they constructed large buildings which could store these goods safely for extended durations. Once back down again upon arrival at our farm 'Andean Colours', treat yourself & pamper those hard working animals giving them freshly cut pasture – it's always fun interacting with all their other animal friends too! A great photo op indeed... Then sit down together sharing another authentic experience around midday mealtime featuring soups starters followed mains courses accompanied side dishes plus ‘chicha Morada’, Peruvians iconic beverage made out purplecorn flour..
