The Spahija Cellar in Pakrac is a unique visitor center and the first hybrid of museum and library in Croatia. Housed in a renovated historic building from the 18th century, the Spahija Cellar is today a central place for the preservation and interpretation of the cultural heritage of Pakrac and the western part of Slavonia. Our permanent exhibition "Our Homeland" takes visitors on a journey through the rich history of Pakrac - from prehistoric and Roman times, through the medieval mint, fairs and craftsmen, to industrial development and the recent past. Special emphasis is placed on the stories of ordinary people, their lives and destinies, bringing heritage closer to visitors on a personal and emotional level. Additional exhibition sections enrich the visit experience: "The World of Graševina in Pakrac" reveals the tradition of winemaking and the role of Graševina in the identity of the region, "From our fields, from our table" tells the story of multicultural heritage through traditional recipes and handwritten cookbooks, "Secrets of the city library" combines library materials and museum collections into a unique interpretive experience. In addition to the exhibition contents, visitors can also visit the Pakra Gallery and the multifunctional Julijana Hall for cultural and educational programs.
