Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley:
Begin your adventure in the historic Kathmandu Valley, home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) – a spiritual hill top stupa with panoramic views. Patan Durbar Square – a showcase of Newari architecture and ancient royal palaces. Boudhanath Stupa – one of the largest and most serene Buddhist stupas in the world. Students will engage with local artisans, explore bustling markets, and gain insight into Nepal’s rich religious and cultural tapestry.
White-Water Rafting on the Trishuli River:
Feel the adrenaline rush as you navigate the rapids of the Trishuli River, a perfect blend of excitement and scenic beauty. Escape the city and conquer Class III–IV rapids on Nepal’s iconic Trisuli River. Paddle through thrilling waves like “Upset” and “Surprise,” then unwind at a riverside camp with bonfires, BBQ, and starlit skies. Day two brings more adrenaline and scenic floats past jungle cliffs and village smiles. This guided rafting experience fosters teamwork, resilience, and environmental awareness.
Short Trek to Ghorepani:
Cap off the tour with a short trek to Ghorepani, nestled in the Annapurna region. Highlights include: hiking through rhododendron forests and mountain villages; Sunrise views from Poon Hill, offering a majestic panorama of the Himalayas; and Cultural exchanges with the indigenous Gurung communities. As part of the Ghorepani trek experience, students will visit the Annapurna Conservation Area Project Headquarters to deepen their understanding of sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship in the Himalayas. This hands-on learning opportunity includes:

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 01: Activities: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Meals: Welcome Dinner
A representative will meet the group at the arrival lounge. After a brief welcoming ceremony, transfer to the Hotel. In the evening, our staff will conduct a brief orientation session to apprise you about the activities of the following days, followed by a welcome dinner. Overnight hotel.
Day 02: A full day of guided sightseeing tour of UNESCO Heritage Sites.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch. Overnight Hotel.
i. Boudhanath Sightseeing: Discover spiritual serenity and cultural depth at Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest and most sacred Buddhist monuments in the world. Located on the ancient trade route from Tibet, Boudhanath is a vibrant center of Tibetan Buddhism and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Key Highlights:
The Great Stupa: Marvel at the massive white dome crowned with a gilded spire and the all-seeing eyes of the Buddha. Students will learn about its symbolic architecture, representing the path to enlightenment.
Circumambulation Rituals: Join pilgrims and monks in walking clockwise around the stupa, spinning prayer wheels, and soaking in the meditative atmosphere. Monasteries and Gompas: Visit nearby Tibetan monasteries to observe daily rituals, chanting ceremonies, and traditional thangka paintings.
Cultural Interaction: Engage with resident monks and local devotees to understand the role of Buddhism in daily life and community resilience.
Spiritual Art & Souvenirs: Explore shops offering handmade prayer flags, incense, and spiritual artifacts, many crafted by Tibetan refugees.
ii. Pashupatinath Sightseeing: Explore the spiritual heart of Nepal at Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in South Asia. Located on the banks of the Bagmati River, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers profound insights into Nepalese spirituality, rituals, and sacred architecture.
Key Highlights:
Main Temple Complex: Admire the pagoda-style temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, featuring intricate wood carvings and a gilded roof. Though entry to the inner sanctum is reserved for Hindus, students can observe the temple’s grandeur and rituals from the outer courtyards.
Bagmati River Ghats: Witness traditional cremation ceremonies along the riverbanks, offering a respectful and educational glimpse into Hindu beliefs about life, death, and rebirth.
Sadhus and Ascetics: Meet and interact (respectfully) with holy men who have renounced worldly life, learning about their spiritual practices and philosophies.

iii. Swayambhunath Sightseeing (Monkey Temple):
Perched atop a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley, Swayambhunath Stupa—affectionately known as the Monkey Temple—is one of Nepal’s oldest and most revered spiritual sites. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a captivating blend of Buddhist symbolism, Hindu shrines, and panoramic views.

iv. Patan Durbar Square Sightseeing:
Step into the heart of Patan, one of the oldest cities in the Kathmandu Valley, renowned for its exquisite art, architecture, and cultural heritage. Patan Durbar Square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a living museum of Newar craftsmanship.
Highlights of the Visit:
Ancient Royal Palace Complex: Explore the beautifully restored courtyards—Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, and Keshav Narayan Chowk—each showcasing intricate wood and stone carvings.
Krishna Mandir: Admire this iconic temple built entirely of stone, dedicated to Lord Krishna, with carvings depicting scenes from the Mahabharata and Ramayana.
Hiranya Varna Mahavihar (Golden Temple): Visit this sacred Buddhist monastery adorned with gilded statues, prayer wheels, and ornate metalwork.
Museum of Patan: Dive into Nepal’s artistic legacy with exhibits on traditional metalwork, woodcraft, and religious iconography.
Local Artisan Workshops: Witness master craftsmen at work—stone sculptors, metal casters, and woodcarvers preserving centuries-old techniques.
Day 03: Activities: White water rafting. Meals: Breakfast. Lunch& BBQ Dinner
Morning, a scenic drive from Kathmandu, about 3–4 hours to Charaudi or Malekhu - the river put-in point. The river guide will conduct a session on rafting techniques, safety equipment, and protocols before commencing the trip. Feel the rush of adrenaline as you navigate the exhilarating Class II to IV rapids like Ladies Delight and Upset. Lunch at Riverside and more raft down river until late afternoon to pitch tents on a sandy riverbank for the night with evening activities: Campfire, dinner, and cultural exchange with local music and dance.
Day 04: Activities: Drive to Pokhara. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
After breakfast, we board the vehicle and set off for another thrilling adventure to Pokhara. A free evening in Pokhara to enjoy the lakeside or go boating in the lake. Overnight Hotel.
Day 05: Activities: Trekking to Ghorepani 4-5 hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Drive from Pokhara to Ulleri via Nayapul. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. The trail then continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti at 2250m and further to Nangethanti at 2600m before arriving at Ghorepani (2840m). Ghorepani is a relatively large village with excellent views of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri. Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.
Day 06: Activities: One hour hike to Poon Hill. Trek to Tadapani (2540 m.) 6-7 hour walk. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
From Ghorepani, we wake up at 5 AM to visit Poon Hill (3210m) for the hike to Poon Hill for the spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. An excellent vantage point, Poon Hill provides an unobstructed view of the high Western Himalayas. Here we spend an hour or so before returning back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Leaving Ghorepani, we climb along ridge and through dense alpine and rhododendron forests (blooms in the spring with hues of red and pink) towards Deurali (2960m) before reaching Tadapani. Overnight at local Tea House/Lodges.
Day 07: Activities Trekking Tadapani to Ghandruk 5 – 6 hour walk. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Ghandruk is the gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary (Base Camp) trek and inhabited by Gurung, one of the major Ethnic groups of Nepal. Ghandruk is a maze of narrow alleyways but is an ideal place to spend an afternoon wandering the streets enjoying the local food or learning about the local handicrafts. Overnight tea House/Lodge.
Day 08: Activities: Morning visit to Annapurna Conservation Area Project. Afternoon End Trek drive to Pokhara. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
After wrapping up the visit to ACAP Headquarters', trek downhill through villages and terraced fields to Syauli Bazaar, then onto Nayapul total 4 hours descend walk then (approximate 1½ hours) back to Pokhara.
Ghandruk Village Experience: Focus is on Eco-tourism, Conservation, and Cultural Immersion Nestled in the foothills of the Annapurna range, Ghandruk is a picturesque Gurung village offering stunning Himalayan views and rich cultural heritage. It serves as a gateway to the Annapurna Conservation Area and a model for sustainable mountain tourism. Visit traditional homes, interact with locals, and learn about Gurung customs, attire, and hospitality. Explore artifacts, tools, and cultural exhibits that showcase the village’s history and lifestyle.
ACAP Headquarters Visit: The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), headquartered in Ghandruk, is Nepal’s pioneering conservation initiative focused on balancing tourism with environmental and cultural preservation.
Day 09: Activities: Pokhara-Kathmandu Flight. Meals: Breakfast.
Fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. A free afternoon to explore the back streets of Kathmandu.
Day 10 Activities: Depart Kathmandu. Meals: Breakfast.
At the appointed time, a representative will transfer you to the international airport for your departure flight.
