5 DAY SERENGETI SAFARI

JustAfricaSafari · Arusha

Here's a 5-day safari itinerary On the first day, you set off from Arusha and drive into Tarangire National Park, where the land is dotted with towering baobab trees and elephants wander in great herds. It feels like a gentle introduction to Tanzania's wilderness—quiet, spacious, and alive with bird calls. The second and third days belong to the Serengeti, a vast sea of grass stretching endlessly to the horizon. Here, predators rule: lions lounging in the shade, cheetahs scanning the plains, and leopards hidden in acacia branches. If it's migration season, you'll witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras moving together, a living river of animals crossing the land. Spending two nights allows you to explore both the central Serengeti and, if time permits, the northern reaches. On the fourth day, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural amphitheater where wildlife gathers in astonishing density. Within a single morning, you might see black rhinos grazing, hippos wallowing in pools, and lions stalking across the grass. The crater rim offers sweeping views that remind you how extraordinary this landscape truly is. Finally, on the fifth day, you can choose between a visit to Lake Manyara National Park—famous for its tree-climbing lions and flocks of flamingos—or a cultural stop near Arusha, perhaps meeting Maasai communities or exploring local markets. It's a softer ending, a chance to reflect before returning to the city. --- This flow balances big landscapes, iconic species, and intimate encounters, creating an unforgettable journey through East Africa's heart.
